In the footsteps of Hemingway in the Hürtgen Forest: During the Battle of the Hürtgen Forest in the final phase of World War II, Hemingway was there as a war reporter. Tim grew up there and introduced us to the whole story during the great ride. It's like an educational bike tour ... Take the train to Düren, from there the loop through the Hürtgen Forest and to Nideggen, then back to Cologne. 

And as usual for the Efiel, there are of course also plenty of meters of altitude, especially beautiful:

• From Simonskall up, 156 m elevation gain over almost 3 km
• Up to Schmidt, 177 m elevation gain over 3.3 km
• Finally, Nideggen, 121 m elevation gain over 1.7 km
