This is what an ideal camping weekend can look like: The starting point is the Viktoria Station campsite in Kreuzberg an der Ahr.

Ideal as a starting point for cycling tours through the Eifel, e.g. my Eifel Deluxe Circuit.

And then the next day a hike, e.g. stage 4 of the AhrSteig. which is particularly varied.

The campsite is very spacious, registration is not necessary, you always get a place. Everything is very relaxed. Since the main road runs directly on the other side of the Ahr and the railway line on the other side of the campsite, it is not super quiet now, but in the evening/night there is hardly anything going on. It didn't bother us. In the reviews on camping.info , the place also comes off well.

Practical: Not only can you order bread rolls, but you can also have breakfast on reservation.
