Camping in France

France is THE camping country par excellence. There are campsites everywhere - from the very simple to the very luxurious. And all pitches with no or hardly any permanent campers. Here are a few examples from our last tour to the South of France.
Deutsch Français Espagnol PortugueseIf you start very, very early in the morning, you can already be in Provence in the afternoon. E.g. in La Roque sur Cèze at the campsite Les Cascades. The place is beautifully located, has 4 stars because of the swimming pool, a restaurant is part of it. And above all, you have direct access to the beach at the Cascade du Sautadet.
If you start later in Cologne, you can also drive off the motorway after 440 km and head for Montigny-le-Roi . Camping du Château is geared to the transients, simple but ok.
On the Côte d'Azur , the Cool Camping site Les Eucalyptus is simply wonderful: in the vineyards, under shady trees and right next to the beach. Our favorite campsite!
